How Grandfield Media Private Limited handles personal data on Classitz — yours as a teacher, and your students’ and parents’ data that you hold with us.

Who we are
Classitz is run by Grandfield Media Private Limited (CIN U85499TS2026PTC221225), No 93 Koundinya Nagar, Nr Prathibha High Sch, I.E.Nacharam, Uppal, Hyderabad- 500076, Telangana, India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act we are the data fiduciary for teacher accounts, and a data processor for the student and parent records teachers keep with us.
Two kinds of data
Teacher data is what you give us to run your account: your name, email, phone number, your classes and your public page.
Student and parent data is what you, or they, enter to run your classes: names, phone numbers, email addresses, attendance, fee records and notes. For that data you are the data fiduciary and we process it on your instructions.
What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, phone, password hash) — to sign you in and reach you about your account.
- Class records (students, batches, attendance, fees, notes) — to provide the service. We use them for nothing else.
- Billing details (plan, invoices, Razorpay payment ids) — to charge you and issue GST invoices. Card and UPI details stay with Razorpay; we never see them.
- Emails we send and their delivery status — so you can see what your students received.
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser, time) — for security and to fix faults; kept 30 days.
We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share personal data for marketing.
Students and parents sign in without passwords
Students and parents sign in with their phone number or a link the teacher sends. We use the number only to sign them in and to show them their own attendance and fees. A parent account can manage several children.
Who processes data for us

Your data is stored in India (Mumbai). Each provider is bound to use it only to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. You can delete your account yourself from Settings inside the app — it happens immediately — or ask us to (see how to delete your account); we then do it within 30 days. Invoices and payment records are kept for the period Indian tax law requires. Backups roll off within 35 days.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, and withdraw consent. Teachers can export everything from inside Classitz. Students and parents should ask their teacher first, since the teacher holds the record; you can also write to us and we will help.
